Morning Rafe, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The information you shared was very helpful and I look forward to implementing it when I can. My feedback is 10/10 no thoughts on improvements as there are none that need to be made.

A Half-day Flash Wedding Photography Workshop like no other.

Next Flash Workshop Sunday 19th May 2024

Originally ran back in 2021, this workshop is aimed at the confident wedding photographer who wants to improve their flash photography game once the light disappears.

I have spent almost 10 years fine tuning my brand of Documentary Wedding Photography, and whilst the moment itself is super important to me, the lighting of it makes the difference between a good, and great image. I have won numerous awards via Fearless Wedding Photographers, This Is Reportage and Masters of Wedding Photography, regularly finishing in the annual leaderboards for each.

Once British Winter Time kicks in, we’re all on flash from 4-5pm, so rather than just settling for a flash sat on the camera itself, let me introduce you to a world of ‘off camera flash’ opportunities, with a detailed workshop sharing all of my lighting set ups and strategies. I always prioritise natural, ambient light when it’s there, and my use of flash is controlled, in order to preserve as much of the colour in the room as possible.

Learn how to light the wedding breakfast room for speeches, the dancefloor for dancing, and couples for evening portraits and sparkler shots.

This workshop will run for approx 4.5hrs, and be classroom based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire with a pub social afterwards for those wanting to stay and network with others!

As an added bonus, to conclude the Workshop I will be dropping 10 Knowledge Bombs on delegates, to help their businesses grow and flourish, and also offering long term mentorship opportunities to delegates.

£150 per person with an 8 person maximum per session. Please register interest at info@rafeabrook.co.uk

I’ve come away from Rafe’s Workshop feeling inspired and confident to start experimenting with lighting both professionally and personally. He has shared his extensive knowledge of flash in a fun and informative way, within a small group setting where no question feels like a silly one!

Rafe’s engaging workshop covers all you need to know, including kit choices, lighting set ups and even real life models! This is followed up with a helpful PDF to reiterate what was covered in the class.

I’d most definitely say that this was money well spent. Thanks Rafe!
