Bassmead Manor Barns is one of my favourite local wedding venues. It's a recently renovated set of barns set in idyllic Cambridgeshire countryside ran by a great team of people. Laura & Ben obviously agreed as they chose it for their spring wedding in late April!
After a beautiful ceremony in the Rickety Barn, the guests enjoyed drinks out in the garden, while we managed to take family group shots and portraits of the B&G. One of the quirkier aspects of the day were the video cameras provided by Shoot It Yourself which the bridesmaids and groomsmen used throughout the day. This was a fab idea and enabled the bridal party to capture the day as it was and send the footage off for editing.
With the rape field at Bassmead out in full bloom, it was the perfect spot for some portraits so we took full advantage. Later on the party really got firing on all cylinders and I even managed to sneak the newlyweds outside for one of my standard issue off-camera flash night shots!
